We provide a fully managed domain name service. We will check the availability of your requested domain name, acquire the
domain name for you, administer the domain name and configure the DNS hosting server records. We can also assist you in
choosing a domain name that will be both search engine friendly and customer friendly.
Please note that just because a website does not exist for the domain name you wish to buy, it does not mean that
the domain name has not already been taken by someone else.

 Domain DNS Services
After purchasing a domain name, in order to use it for a web-site or email, you require a DNS Server that hosts your
DNS Records. We provide a fully managed dedicated DNS service for those clients who feel that DNS management is not
for them. Our DNS servers have a guaranteed uptime of 100%, are fully independent of your other services such as web
or email, and we will host your DNS Records on 5 globally distributed redundant servers. The volume of DNS traffic that
your domain name will use depends primarily on the popularity of your website, so as such we offer three levels of DNS
hosting to avoid large DNS over-quota charges.

 Putting Your Domain Name to Use
Once your domain name and DNS have been purchased, you can put your domain name to use. You can use your
domain name for many Internet based services, but the most common uses are for email and a
website.
a) Email Provision
For small businesses we recommend using the free Google Apps Email Service that provides
upto 100 email boxes free of charge for your domain name. With this Google service, you can use your email via the
web or with an email client like Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, or even via your
mobile phone. Note that this is not the same as Google Mail or GMail, although it uses the GMail platform as part of
its implementation. When using the Google Apps Email Service, emails are sent and received in your own domain
name, e.g. from somebody@company.com (not from somebody@gmail.com).
We charge a flat fee of £130 for the setup and configuration of the Google Apps Email Service. This charge covers
the domain name ownership verification, configuration and validation of the DNS MX records, domain name configuration to access
your web-based email via your domain name, setup and configuration of the Google Apps' administrator account, the
setup and configuration of one user email box and full testing. There are no ongoing monthly fees with this service either to
IT Centa or to Google.
Google Apps Calendar Service - For an additional one-off charge of £30, we can also setup and
configure the Google Apps Calendar Service that can send email and text message reminders of user's calendar entries.
This initial charge is inclusive of one user's calendar configuration. Additional user's calendars are configured at £10 per
user.
b) Website Provision
Website Hosting - IT Centa offers a comprehensive web hosting package that is
suitable for most small businesses. You can either buy a website template and configure this yourself, or install or develop
your own bespoke website solution.
